Kevin Hart is being sued by a fan who claims he was beaten up by his security team at one of the comedian’s stand-up shows. The plaintiff, Jay Collins, alleges he was verbally and physically assaulted.

The alleged incident took place at Hart’s “What Now?” show in Philadelphia in August 2015. In the legal documents, Collins maintains he was a VIP guest at the concert at Lincoln Financial Field when he was “aggressively approached and detained by stadium security.” He maintains he was passed off to Hart’s private security guards, who allegedly stabbed him in the face, neck and back with the prongs of a taser, threatening to use the device on him.

Collins claims he was then thrown to the ground, with the security members striking his upper body, as well as his rib cage. He was then escorted from the venue, but not before being called a “p*ssy,” “coward” and “bitch,” according to the lawsuit, which was obtained by TMZ. While it’s unclear why Collins didn’t file a police report and why he waited nearly two years to sue, the site reports he’s going after Hart because he believes the star should be held personally responsible for the actions of his security team.

And though it’s also unknown what caused Lincoln Financial Field’s security guards to allegedly detain Collins in the first place, he is reportedly seeking at least $50,000 from Hart in damages. Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for the actor for comment. Unfortunately, this is the second instance of bad publicity for Hart this summer. In July, Hart maintained he did not cheat on pregnant wife Eniko Parrish after the National Enquirer published grainy photos of him in a car with another woman.

As Gossip Cop reported, Hart issued two denials after the story led his name to become a trending topic on Twitter. The seemingly untrue allegations came just weeks after the funny man released his book, I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons. Gossip Cop will have updates on the new lawsuit as appropriate.
