Kendall Jenner wants to play Caitlyn Jenner in a movie, according to a report. Gossip Cop, however, can exclusively correct the story. We've learned it was totally made up.
The allegation comes from RadarOnline, which is blaring in a headline, "Kendall Jenner Might Play Caitlyn In A New Film & It's As Crazy As It Sounds." No, what's crazy is making up fake news. The article alleges Kendall is "telling those closest to her that she not only wants to turn her dad's memoir, The Secrets of My Life, into a film, but the supermodel also wants to play the transgender icon!" The site claims she has her father's "blessing," is taking acting lessons, and is already pitching the supposed project to producers.
"She thinks she's in the perfect position to pull off playing the onscreen version of Bruce. She's eager to preserve her dad's legacy," a so-called "spy" alleges to the webloid. Notably, though, this eyebrow-raising piece is missing a lot of key details. For instance, will Kendall be playing her dad at various ages? The memoir covers all of Caitlyn's life. Will Kris Jenner and the Kardashians be depicted, and if so, who would portray them? Also, how would Kendall fit this in with her modeling career?
Tellingly, the outlet doesn't say anything about any of that. One would think if the online publication truly had the exclusive on this alleged film, it would have a few more specifics. It seems, however, RadarOnline was either duped by this "insider," who peddled made-up claims, or outright fabricated the tale itself. When Gossip Cop checked in with Caitlyn's camp, we were told they have "no idea" about a big-screen adaptation of her memoir, even though the site claims she's given her "blessing." And when we spoke with Kendall's rep, the spokesperson flat-out denied Kendall has any intention of playing her father in a movie, or even acting at all.
"It's false," says the rep, reminding, "She's a model, not an actress." Ironically enough, it's the webloid that's been doing a lot of acting, pretending for years to have accurate details on the Jenner family. In one egregious example, Gossip Cop busted the outlet last year for falsely claiming Kendall was demanding a DNA test to find out if Caitlyn is her real father. Isn't it just crazy RadarOnline never followed up on that big allegation and is now maintaining Kendall wants to play her dad in a movie? Crazy indeed.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
