Kendall Jenner is not "planning on acting," despite a fabricated story claiming the model went to an Oscar party on Sunday so she could network with people in Hollywood. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We're told it's simply not true.
Following the Academy Awards on Sunday night, Jenner attended the annual Vanity Fair party, which has prompted HollywoodLife to claim she's ditching modeling and going into the movie business. "Kendall is aware that her modeling career likely has a limited shelf life, so she's already looking ahead and planning for her next career," a so-called "source" tells the site.
"Kendall would love to break into acting in the future, so it's great for her to be out there networking and mingling with all the industry bigwigs," adds the blog's supposed insider, as if Jenner somehow made hitched her way to Hollywood from the midwest with stars in her eyes and no contacts. The alleged tipster goes on to say Jenner attended the Vanity Fair bash "to make new connections" and "be visible" in front of Hollywood executives.
But Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Jenner, who exclusively assures us the outlet's story is completely "fabricated." The model simply attended an Oscars party, as did hundreds of other people in all facets of the entertainment industry. Jenner didn't show up to the bash with a hidden agenda to advance her career. Regardless, Gossip Cop also confirmed with Jenner's spokesperson the model isn't pursuing an acting career for the time being.
It's worth noting, many former models have gone on to become full-time actresses, so it's not out of the question that Jenner would consider an acting career in the future. However, that's not the case as of now, and she certainly didn't attend an Oscars party just so she could score a movie role. More importantly, we're told no on in her inner circle spoke to HollywoodLife about her supposed desire to act. It was simply made up.
Actually, this unoriginal rumor about the model's future has popped up before. And E!, which produces "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," has shot it down, too. Following an equally off-base RadarOnline story, the network's website reported Jenner is not ditching the runway for the big screen.
Of course, we're not surprised by the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies' latest piece of fiction about the model. Gossip Cop previously busted the site for pretending to know Jenner's thoughts on being an aunt to her sisters' kids. We've also debunked countless stories surrounding the nature of her relationship with Blake Griffin. This latest article about Jenner's supposed acting aspirations is more lies.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
