A new report alleges Kelly Ripa is "on the verge" of quitting "Live" over being "replaced" by Kim Kardashian on an upcoming episode of the morning show. But Gossip Cop can correct this claim. We're told it's "made-up."

As Gossip Cop previously noted, it was announced on Friday that Kardashian will co-host one show of "Live with Kelly and Ryan" later this month while Ripa is on vacation. Now, Celeb Dirty Laundry bizarrely claims that being "replaced" for a single episode is such an "insult" to Ripa that the longtime morning host may be "quitting the show permanently." The often discredited outlet asserts, "It's one thing to have a major celebrity step in for you, and it's another to have someone like Kardashian, a waning reality star."

What's more, the website maintains Ripa is "incredibly unhappy" these days on the morning show, and is tired of her new co-host Ryan Seacrest "upstaging her." The "latest snub... comes in the form of Kim Kardashian stepping in to replace her," further contends the unreliable blog. "[With] Ripa's alleged frustration and professed unhappiness with the way the show is being run, it's not a stretch to assume that she's on the hunt for a new hosting gig," concludes the outlet.

Actually, it's a giant stretch, and it's a total fabrication. A slew of other sites, however, have also taken the news about Kardashian co-hosting an episode of "Live" and twisted it into untrue tales. As Gossip Cop recently reported, RadarOnline falsely claimed Kardashian was "desperate to replace" Ripa on "Live." That wasn't true, and the same goes for CDL's latest article. Ripa isn't going anywhere. A source close to the situation assures us the story is simply "made-up."

Sadly, this isn't the first time Gossip Cop has busted the webloid for posting manufactured articles about the "Live" co-hosts. In May, we corrected the site for wrongly claiming Ripa was "furious" with Seacrest for mistaking Jeffrey Tambor for a deceased actor on an episode of "Live." Once again, the outlet has "replaced" accuracy with an outrageous falsehood.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
