A webloid report alleges Kelly Ripa is worried about new “Live” co-host Ryan Seacrest quitting their talk show and returning to host the upcoming “American Idol” revival. Gossip Cop looked into the situation, and we can exclusively reveal the truth.

As Gossip Cop reported, ABC is reviving “American Idol,” the singing competition show that Seacrest spent 15 seasons hosting. He just joined “Live” as a full-time co-host last week, but RadarOnline is now claiming that Ripa fears Seacrest will “ditch her” in a similar fashion to former co-host Michael Strahan.

A supposed “source” tells the site that “Live” is “just another job” to Seacrest, who also hosts a radio show and runs a production company in Los Angeles. The dubious insider goes on to question the TV personality’s dedication to the East Coast morning show, alleging, “He’s not even getting an apartment in New York. He’s going to use a hotel and he’s not even bringing his dog!”

However, this report is factually incorrect on a number of levels. As Gossip Cop already noted, Ripa begged Seacrest to host ABC’s “American Idol” reboot during their talk show on Monday. She assured her new co-host that he could juggle both jobs and intensely pleaded with him to return to the competition show. Seacrest, however, was unsure he’d have the time to participate on both shows.

Additionally, Seacrest himself confirmed on “Live” that he’s moving from LA to NYC for his new gig. “I’m shifting my life to be on another coast,” he stated on the morning program. Gossip Cop is further told by a reliable source close to Seacrest that he’s currently hunting for an apartment to buy. Furthermore, the TV host will start recording his national radio show from the same NYC studio where “Live” is filmed. Also, Gossip Cop previously busted RadarOnline for wrongly reporting that Ripa was against hiring Seacrest as her new “Live” co-host. That story was provably untrue, as is the webloid’s latest one.
