Did Kelly Clarkson clog a toilet at an old Victorian mansion while shooting a music video? That's the claim from one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop can set the record straight on this made-up story. We're told it's "nonsense."
The absurd allegation comes from the latest issue of the National Enquirer, which actually published a headline that reads, "Never Pooh Pooh A Kelly Clarkson Scoop!" In the accompanying story, the supermarket tabloid ridiculously asserts that the singer, who was supposedly shooting a new music video in an old Victorian mansion, rushed to the nearest toilet when "nature hollered her name," but "while doing her business," she clogged up the "ancient pipes." A so-called "source" tells the outlet, "Kelly was in a panic! She didn't want the entire crew to know she'd busted the damn bog."
The publication's seemingly fake "source" goes on to contend, "She begged her assistant, who was in there with her, not to leave until later or everyone would know Kelly had done the smelly deed." The magazine's alleged "porcelain spy" further purports in unnatural language, "It became like a scene out of an old 'I Love Lucy' show as the gals held their noses and actually tried to fix the cranky crapper, but ended up making it worse!"
Not surprisingly, the only thing that stinks is the Enquirer's latest tale. Gossip Cop looked into the report, and a source close to the singer tells us the story is complete "nonsense" and never happened. It should be noted the often disproven tabloid fails to give any specifics about when or where the supposed incident took place, nor does the outlet have any information about Clarkson's new music video. Basically, it's all made-up.
Incredibly, this isn't even the most unusual story Gossip Cop has had to debunk in recent months. Earlier this year, we corrected the same, toilet-obsessed magazine when it wrongly claimed Kim Kardashian's butt got stuck in a toilet bought by Kanye West. That wasn't true, and the same goes for the tabloid's most recent concoction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
