One of this week's tabloids claims Katy Perry may be pregnant with Orlando Bloom's baby. The report is false. Gossip Cop can confirm that the newly engaged couple isn't expecting a child.

"Katy & Orlando Starting A Family" reads a headline in the latest issue of Life & Style. The accompanying article says the singer is likely pregnant simply because she wore a "loose-fitting blouse" to Kanye West's church service last month. A supposed source tells the magazine, "Katy had wanted to wait until after they were married to have kids, but that's not written in stone."

The alleged insider adds, "If she were to get pregnant today, she'd probably just postpone the wedding until after the baby's born." This is all speculation based on an outfit the singer wore to a church service. Just because Perry didn't show up to a religious ceremony in a skin-tight dress doesn't mean she's pregnant.

Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the singer, who wasn't able to speak on the record, but assures us the magazine's article is untrue. A Bloom confidante similarly tells us that the actor and his fiancee aren't expecting a child at this time.

It should be mentioned, it's entirely possible that the couple will start a family at some point in the not-too-distant future. People magazine recently reported that Perry and Bloom want to get married and have a baby "sooner rather than later." However, the singer simply isn't expecting a child yet, despite the magazine's purely speculative report.

Unfortunately, we're not surprised the tabloid got the story wrong. Life & Style has already proven to have very little insight into the couple's personal life. Gossip Cop busted the magazine in April 2018 for falsely claiming Perry and Bloom had gotten engaged in Tokyo. That obviously didn't happen. The outlet then dropped that storyline and wrongly reported last October that Perry and Bloom had gotten engaged in Greece. Of course, the actor didn't propose until this past February.

In addition to making up fake engagements, the tabloid has also attempted to break up the couple. Last year, for example, Gossip Cop called out the publication for alleging Perry and Bloom's relationship was "on the rocks" due to time apart and their busy schedules. Considering they're heading down the aisle soon, it appears the arrangement between the singer and the actor is working just fine. This latest article involving a pregnancy is similarly inaccurate.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
