Katy Perry Pedophilia

Katy Perry did not say anything about “sick pedophiles” controlling the music industry, despite an outrageous report that falsely claims, “Pop star blows the whistle on pedophilia in the entertainment world.” Gossip Cop can blow the whistle on this disturbing fake news.

The site Neon Nettle writes, “In a shocking exposé from one of the biggest pop stars in the world, Katy Perry has dealt a devastating blow to the entertainment world elite by revealing that the entire industry is ‘controlled’ by ‘sick pedophiles.'” It’s wrongly asserted Perry told a “close group of friends,” “I can’t live this life any longer. They’re all pedophiles. What they do to these children is sick.”

The fake quotes continue, “The producers, the executives, the big names… They’re all in on it. It’s like an exclusive club that you can only join if you do these evil things to innocent children… And it’s not just dirty old men, it’s all of them. Even the women. They say to me, ‘Katy, you need to take the next step in your career,’ but there’s no way I would do those things to kids.”

“It’s not just in music, it everywhere: Hollywood, Washington, even the press are in on it,” Perry is erroneously quoted as saying, supposedly adding, “If we work together, we can change this. We can save these children. Something is happening with Bieber. I think he might even go public.” The reference to the pop star’s fellow performer comes after another outlet, YourNewsWire, which similarly claimed Bieber said “pedophiles run the ‘evil’ music industry.”

But as Gossip Cop reported, he never said any such thing. And one of the purported quotes in this Perry story, “I just want to be Kathyrn Hudson again,” is a play on something Perry said during a live stream in June, when she was talking about her music persona. In fact, the tearful photo Neon Nettle uses to illustrate this sick story (see above) is actually a screengrab from that same stream. At the time, Perry was talking about an identity crisis, not anything having to do with sexual abuse in the industry.

This site, it seems, takes popular topics and celebrities and grossly tries to connect them to pedophilia. For instance, after it was revealed earlier this week that Prodigy died as the result of choking while in the hospital, this shameful outlet absurdly declared, “Coroner Confirms Mobb Deep Rapper Prodigy Was Murdered by Elite: Hip Hop star died of choking after attempts to expose pedophile ring.” A previous tale ridiculously alleged James Comey’s firing was tied to a pedophilia ring cover-up, and one before that falsely alleged “Dr. Phil” was “canceled” after “exposing [an] elite pedophile ring” on his show.

All fake news is infuriating for obvious reasons, but this is especially galling. To capitalize on celebrity traffic by pairing notable names with topics like pedophilia is just sickening. Perry, Gossip Cop is told, never said anything that’s being claimed, and how dare Neon Nettle claim she did.
