Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are not in the process of hashing out a $335 million prenup, despite an untrue tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’ve learned the singer and actor aren’t on the verge of getting married.

According to Life & Style, the couple is planning to tie the knot very soon, but the singer wants to protect her assets before walking down the aisle. “The papers are being drawn at Katy’s request,” says an alleged insider, who adds that Perry is worth $295 million, while her boyfriend has a net worth of $40 million.

The outlet’s questionable tipster says the supposed prenup, which is described as an “ironclad agreement,” includes a “$2 million cheating clause and a penalty of $1 million if Orlando leaves her in the first two years of marriage.” The “source” further contends Perry and Bloom are planning a fall wedding, which will be held right after the actor ends his stint starring in the play Killer Joe in London.

A close confidante of Bloom, however, tells Gossip Cop on the condition of anonymity that the tabloid’s article is fabricated. In fact, Bloom recently told the U.K. newspaper The Times that he and Perry haven’t made plans for the future yet. “Everything evolves… So we will see,” said the actor, who further noted that both of them have conflicting schedules. “She’s on tour, I’m doing a play,” he said. Simply put, it seems very unlikely the pair are also busy planning a fall wedding together.

It’s important to point out, Life & Style has demonstrated to have zero insight into the famous couple’s relationship. Gossip Cop busted the magazine in April for falsely claiming Perry and Bloom got engaged in Tokyo. As time has shown, that never happened.

It’s also worth noting, the unreliable tabloid doesn’t know much about the singer’s personal life in general. Gossip Cop called out the magazine in February for making up a story about Perry pressuring Robert Pattinson to get married. Considering the two never dated, it’s pretty clear the singer wasn’t rushing him down the aisle.

Bloom himself explained in April that his relationship with Perry is going strong, but also acknowledged it’s difficult when it comes to coordinating their busy schedules. If the couple is currently doing their best to find quality time together, it’s safe to say they’re not working with lawyers on a prenup and planning a wedding together. The magazine’s article is both illogical and untrue.
