Are Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom fighting over wedding plans? That's the claim in a new report. The truth, Gossip Cop has learned, is they're not disagreeing over what type of marriage ceremony they should have.
According to RadarOnline, Bloom and Perry are battling over their upcoming nuptials. The website quotes an unnamed "friend" of Perry's as saying the singer would like an "elaborate" and "super fancy" wedding, with a "massive guest list." Curiously, though, the blog doesn't mention the name of one single famous person who's invited. The online publication then notes how other "outlets have even reported" that Perry wants her and Bloom's wedding at Disney World.
Gossip Cop already busted that phony wedding claim. And if the site truly was in contact with a "friend" of the couple, wouldn't that source know whether or not they're tying the knot at Cinderella's Castle, rather than shifting the accountability onto the reports of other "outlets"?
Meanwhile, to create its desired drama, the blog maintains Bloom wants a "small and private wedding... and has even suggested a destination wedding" with just family and friends. Naturally, the outlet's alleged insider doesn't know where Bloom would like to wed. Still, the unidentifiable source insists the singer and actor have "not been seeing eye to eye."
Admittedly, while our sources wouldn't share any details about their wedding plans, confidants in both their camps have dispelled any talk of them fighting over their nuptials. And frankly, if tipsters are not sharing with Gossip Cop, they're almost assuredly not leaking wedding information to RadarOnline, which last year published a bizarre work of fiction about how Perry and Jennifer Aniston were fighting for Bloom's affection. Regardless, separate Perry and Bloom sources told us the website's article is untrue.
Interestingly, while the blog picked up the March 1 tale about the "Firework" singer tying the knot at Disney World from its sister publication, Life & Style, it made no mention of the claim from another related outlet, the National Enquirer, which insisted the very next day that Perry and Bloom were having a "shotgun wedding" because she's pregnant. Of course, that was false too, as was another report from two months ago that asserted Perry and Bloom were going to split up because she's richer and more famous.
Suffice to say, the couple hasn't broken up, nor did Perry and Bloom have a "shotgun wedding." And they currently are not fighting over their marriage plans. It appears that leading up to their marriage there will be all sorts of fictional scenarios, but if you're just looking for facts, there's only one Gossip Cop.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
