Is Katy Perry angry at Orlando Bloom for supposedly flirting with Cara Delevingne? That's what one of the tabloids is claiming. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we've learned it's untrue.
According to Woman's Day, Bloom and Delevingne have been "flirting up a storm" during the promotional tour for their new Amazon series, Carnival Row, and Perry isn't happy about the situation. The outlet quotes a so-called "insider" as saying, "Katy knows Cara's a huge flirt with both men and women and she accepts that, but not when it's with her fiance."
The anonymous source goes on to say that Perry is "becoming increasingly annoyed with the innuendos and exchange of looks between them. It's very troubling to her, not to mention disrespectful." The suspicious tipster adds that the singer gets particularly upset when her fiance and his co-star discuss their love scenes during interviews. "Their chemistry [in those scenes] was through the roof, but Katy would like to see that on the screen, not at a press conference!" adds the seemingly phony insider.
Gossip Cop ran the story by Perry's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it's completely untrue. Despite what the tabloid's untraceable "source" claims, the singer's rep confirms she's not jealous of Bloom's relationship with his co-star. Meanwhile, the magazine completely fails to mention that in addition to Bloom's engagement to Perry, Delevingne has been in a well-documented relationship with Ashley Benson for more than a year. Delevingne isn't flirting with Perry's fiance on the side.
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Woman's Day has made up a phony story about Bloom flirting with other women. Just two weeks ago, the tabloid falsely claimed Perry was furious at Bloom for spending time with his attractive assistant. There's absolutely nothing romantic going on between the actor and his employee. Perry's spokesperson assured Gossip Cop that the story was ridiculous.
The tabloid also has a long history of being wrong about the pop star's relationship with Bloom. In May 2018, the magazine reported that Perry and Bloom would be getting married in September of that year. It's now September 2019 and the engaged couple has yet to walk down the aisle. The two are expected to wed sometime before the end of the year. This latest article involving Delevingne is just a weak attempt at creating a dramatic love triangle between Perry, Bloom and his co-star. There's no validity to it.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
