Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx did NOT have a secret wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, despite an entirely fabricated tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can correct this claim. We’re told it’s “untrue.”

According to Star, the pair secretly eloped earlier this month in a private tropical ceremony attended by only the actress’s daughter, Suri, and the actor’s daughter, Annalise. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “The buzz is that they exchanged vows the same day they arrived, right on the sand on a private beach. It was just Katie, Jamie and the kids, who could not be more adorable flower girls.”

The tabloid’s dubious insider goes on to claim that Suri “made sure to text some lovely photos of her mom and Jamie all dressed up” to her dad, Tom Cruise, who reacted favorably to the news. “Katie was surprised when Suri texted her dad the photos, but Tom sent back a touching message saying how glad he is that they are happy,” adds the outlet’s questionable source.

The publication’s “insider” goes on to purport that Foxx and Holmes will also throw a New Year’s Eve bash to celebrate their marriage at the actor’s Los Angeles home. “The invitations have already been sent out,” says the magazine’s seemingly phony source, “and I hear the guest list will include Leonardo DiCaprio, Jay Z and Beyonce, as well as Katie’s old ‘Dawson’s Creek’ buddies Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson.”

Additionally, the tabloid’s “source” adds that a baby may soon follow, as “Katie wants one sooner rather than later, which is probably one reason why she wanted Jamie to make things official.” Gossip Cop, however, checked in with reps for Holmes and Foxx, both of whom exclusively assure us the two aren’t secretly married, nor was there any secret wedding ceremony in Cabo. There also won’t be a New Year’s Eve party to celebrate their nonexistent nuptials. The actress’s rep tells Gossip Cop the outlet’s entire story is simply “untrue,” and the actor’s rep says they’re “not married.”

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the falsity of the magazine’s report. Gossip Cop busted Star earlier this year for a similarly untrue cover story that claimed Holmes was pregnant and marrying Foxx in Hawaii. Obviously, there was no truth to that tale, and the same goes for this latest one.
