A new tabloid report claiming Katie Holmes and Jamie Fox have plans for a “wedding and a baby” is entirely untrue. Although the pair hang out and casually date, this story is completely overstating their relationship. Gossip Cop can exclusively clear up the situation.

Ever since the actor and actress were spotted strolling down the beach in Malibu over Labor Day weekend, the tabloids have been publishing bogus rumors about the nature of their relationship. The latest culprit is Life & Style, which wrongly claims Foxx secretly proposed to Holmes earlier this year. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Jamie recently sat down with his closest friends and told them that he plans to marry Katie and have a baby with her.”

The outlet’s dubious insider continues, “This is a dream come true for Katie. For years, she has wanted Jamie to be her husband and has wanted to give her daughter, Suri, a brother or sister – and now Jamie’s ready to give all that to her.” The seemingly phony source concludes, “Now she feels like all of their time spent hiding was well worth it.”

But as Gossip Cop has always accurately maintained, Foxx and Holmes aren’t swept up in a passionate romance. Sources close to both the actor and actress have repeatedly assured us they’re not getting married or having a child, and nothing about their dynamic has changed. There’s still no “wedding and baby” in the works and Life & Style’s claim otherwise is completely false.

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised the magazine is so wrong about the situation. Gossip Cop called out the tabloid earlier this year when it inaccurately reported Foxx and Holmes were planning a summer wedding. Of course, the summer has passed and the two aren’t married. This latest story can be added to the long line of bogus rumors that recently prompted Gossip Cop to write an article separating fact from fiction about Holmes and Foxx.
