A new report alleges Katie Holmes wants to meet with Tom Cruise to "clear-the-air" about her relationship with Jamie Foxx. The story further contends that the movie star is open to the idea of sitting down with his ex-wife to discuss the situation. But Gossip Cop looked into these claims and we've exclusively learned they're all false.
A new RadarOnline article says the actress is "planning a secret face-to-face meeting" with Cruise in the wake of "going public" with Foxx. Only, Holmes was photographed by the paparazzi without her knowledge while walking on a beach in Malibu with the actor, and never made any romance public. As Gossip Cop has also noted, although the pair hang out and casually see each other, they aren't headed down the aisle.
The webloid, however, says Holmes feels the need to open up to her ex-husband about Foxx in order to get closure. A so-called "source" tells the site, "Their five-year contract drawing to a close means Tom can't hide behind lawyers anymore. He needs to show Katie the respect of one-on-one dialogue." But as Gossip Cop reported, Holmes and Cruise never had a five-year contract prohibiting her from dating. The outlet's dubious insider further claims the actress wants her ex to "come to terms with the fact she's dating his former friend."
The site's seemingly made-up source also insists their daughter Suri will be a topic of conversation, with the goal to "work out a regular visitation schedule" with the 11-year-old. Of course, Cruise hasn't seen his daughter in years and that doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon. Still, the supposed "insider" says the actor is considering the get-together, "though he's likely to insist one of his Scientology friends is present — something Katie won't like at all!"
Despite how unlikely this all sounds, Gossip Cop still checked in with multiple sources close to the situation, all of whom inform us there's no meeting between Holmes and Cruise in the works. The actress hasn't been in contact with her ex-husband for years, and she isn't compelled to do so now to come clean about a casual relationship. The webloid's article is both illogical and untrue. Oddly enough, RadarOnline claimed earlier this week Foxx reached out to Cruise to ask his "forgiveness" for dating Holmes, but the site makes no mention of this alleged incident in its latest bogus article. That's probably because it never occurred, just like the phony events detailed in this new story.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
