A new tabloid report claims Katie Holmes is writing a tell-all book about her life, which will include details about her marriage to Tom Cruise and relationship with Jamie Foxx. Gossip Cop looked into the situation, and we can exclusively reveal the truth.
The latest issue of Star maintains that as part of Holmes and Cruise's 2012 divorce settlement, the actress signed a five-year confidentiality agreement preventing her from discussing their marriage. That supposed deal expires in July, according to the outlet, which has tempted Holmes to pen a memoir about her life.
A questionable insider tells the magazine that the actress's theoretical book will reveal "the role Scientology played in unraveling her marriage" to Cruise. The dubious source further claims Holmes will spill "the breaking point" that led to her divorce and the real reason why her ex-husband hasn't seen their 11-year-old daughter Suri in three years.
As for Foxx, says the publication's "insider," Holmes' imaginary memoir will explain "the positive part Jamie has played in her life" and how the actor "helped her find love again" after her divorce. "Jamie's attention and affection have had an incredibly healing effect on Katie," adds the "source," who maintains Holmes will also chronicle her early career on "Dawson's Creek."
It should be noted, the tabloid declares "$8 Million Tell-All!" on its cover, but the article's only indication of this price tag is that "insiders are predicting the book could fetch" that amount. Regardless, Gossip Cop is assured by a rep for Holmes that she isn't writing a tell-all book about her life, and the publication's entire report is simply "false."
Unfortunately, the outlet's tall tale doesn't comes as much of a shock. Gossip Cop previously busted Star after it published a cover star wrongly claiming Holmes was pregnant with Foxx's baby and marrying the actor in Hawaii. Obviously, neither of those supposed circumstances ever occurred. We also recently called out the magazine's sister publication, the National Enquirer, for its similarly false article contending Holmes would tell secrets about her marriage to Cruise. With its latest cover story, the frequently unreliable tabloid has once again been caught spreading fake news about the actress.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
