Katie Holmes is not looking to get “revenge” on Tom Cruise, nor is she making a movie about therapy that will attack Scientology, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s complete “nonsense.”

According to RadarOnline, Holmes is getting some “backhanded revenge” on Cruise and Scientology by “parading her romance with Jamie Foxx and lauding psychological therapy, which the church disdains.” A so-called “source” tells the website, “Katie says therapy is the only thing that saved her and daughter Suri from her suffocating marriage to Tom in the clutches of the church.” As if that quote didn’t sound made-up, the supposed “source” continues, “Now she wants to pass on the benefit of her experience to help other women who’ve weathered similar nightmares.”

The often disproven site further asserts that Holmes is “determined to continue being an advocate of therapy. So she picked her next movie role, in an adaptation of the enormously best-selling self-help book ‘The Secret,’ because of its therapeutic value.” The alleged “source” goes on to maintain, “Katie hopes to use the film to become a self-help guru and completely defy Scientology’s views of therapy.” The outlet concludes its off-base story by contending that Holmes’s relationship with Foxx and her participation in the movie The Secret will be the “ultimate slap in Tom’s face.”

Despite RadarOnline’s sweeping claim, Holmes has not been a vocal “advocate of therapy.” The contention seems to have been made-up to support the site’s highly inaccurate premise. Additionally Holmes has no desire now to get “revenge” on Cruise, nor did she ever before during the intervening five years since she left him. Also, far from “parading her romance,” the actress and Foxx have kept their casual relationship extremely private.

The website continues its wrong streak by asserting that Holmes joined the cast of the film adaption of The Secret to “defy Scientology’s views of therapy.” Apparently, even though “The Secret” was a giant success and everyone talked about it 11 years ago, the unreliable outlet has no clue what it’s about. The main theme of the book is that people can control their futures by believing the universe will deliver what they want through envisioning and willing their desires. It has nothing to do with therapy.

Virtually everything stated in the RadarOnline article is a falsehood. Gossip Cop is not entirely shocked, since the site doesn’t have a stellar record when it comes to reporting about Holmes. For instance, one year ago, we busted the outlet when it wrongly asserted that Holmes and Foxx would get married at her Michigan vacation home. That, of course, never happened. And a rep for Foxx recently told Gossip Cop that the Oscar-winner is most assuredly not going to marry Holmes.

And just a few days ago, we busted the site when it untruthfully claimed that Holmes was meeting Cruise to discuss Foxx. Gossip Cop has been assured by sources close to all three parties that that will happen in a week from… never. Much like its previous false reports, the latest article about Holmes looking to get “revenge” on Cruise and attack Scientology is a fabrication. A Holmes insider calls the site’s new story “nonsense.”
