Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes are not expecting a baby, nor are they "coming out of hiding" after four years of "secret dating," despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can reveal the truth. We're told it's "not true."
The inaccurate claim was made in this week's issue of OK!, which blares in a new headline, "Katie & Jamie: No More Secrets!" In the accompanying story, which was seemingly fabricated after photographs emerged of the two stars walking together on a Malibu beach, the magazine asserts Holmes is pregnant with the Foxx's child. A so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "She's adjusted her workout and is avoiding alcohol." "They've also started talking with friends about their future as a family," adds the questionable source.
It seems the tabloid took one of the pictures of the two walking on the beach and merely speculated that under Holmes's flowing dress she's sporting a baby bump. The magazine, which appears not to have fact-checked its claim, even put that photo on its cover and drew an arrow to what it thought was Holmes's pregnant belly (see below) and exclaimed, "Katie Pregnant!" But like the publication itself, there's nothing but hot air underneath Holmes's frock. Gossip Cop looked into the contention and we've learned she is not pregnant. A source close to the actress tells us the report is 100 percent "not true," and a rep for Foxx assures us he's not having a baby with Holmes.
Additionally, they have not come "out of hiding." Holmes and Foxx were photographed by paparazzi unbeknownst to them. As Gossip Cop has noted before, they hang out and date occasionally, but this is not Camelot.
Oddly, we corrected the same tabloid nearly a year ago when it similarly inaccurately exclaimed on its cover that Holmes was pregnant with Foxx's baby. In that untrue article, the magazine declared, "It's official" and maintained they made an announcement over dinner with friends 10 months ago that Holmes was expecting. "Katie's having a girl," alleged the publication's source, who further asserted Holmes and Foxx were going to name their supposed daughter "Violet."
Naturally, that was one giant lie, as was another cover story Gossip Cop busted 364 days ago that falsely alleged Holmes was getting married to Foxx. The tabloid even rattled off a slew of "wedding details," including the celebrity invitees and the type of dress Holmes was going to wear. But, of course, a year has passed and there's no baby nor are they married. Gossip Cop would like you to mark your calendars for nine months from now. You'll see we publish facts, while OK!'s article is simply fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
