One of the tabloids claims Katie Holmes is headed for a meltdown as she deals with the pressures of planning a wedding with Jamie Foxx and the "sensitive mental state" of her 12-year-old daughter Suri Cruise. The story is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
According to Woman's Day Australia, the actress is buckling under the stress of her personal life and recently "stunned onlookers" as she walked around New York City looking tired and disheveled. One so-called "onlooker" tells the magazine, "She looked completely strung-out and exhausted. She was lost in thought and seemed really upset about something."
Another alleged insider tells the outlet, "Katie has a lot on her plate right now and she's struggling. She's barely sleeping and her appetite is at an all-time low, so it's no surprise all that's taken a toll on her appearance." The tabloid says one of the issues is that Suri misses her dad Tom Cruise around the holidays, "and it's down to Katie to explain why her dad's not around." The supposed source adds, "It's not an easy topic, especially as Suri's getting older now and is increasingly more inquisitive about her dad."
As for her romance with Foxx, the tipster contends that Holmes is feeling overwhelmed by her alleged plans to get married in Paris. "It comes with a lot of worry and stress, especially as her last marriage belly-flopped," says the questionable tipster. "She loves Jamie dearly, but with the wedding around the corner, she's feeling overwhelmed and doesn't want to make the same mistakes again."
The tabloid's phony story is predicated on false claims. For starters, Gossip Cop has debunked several stories about Suri being desperate for her dad to visit. Holmes and her daughter have been estranged from Cruise for several years, and there's nothing to indicate the little girl struggles around the holidays. Additionally, a rep for Holmes has repeatedly assured us that no one in the actress's trusted inner circle would speak to a tabloid about her daughter.
Meanwhile, Gossip Cop has already debunk bogus reports about Holmes and Foxx planning a wedding in Paris. That premise has popped up in various tabloids over the past few weeks, but it was based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable source. Holmes' rep, who's qualified to speak on the actress's behalf, has told us on the record that she and the actor aren't getting married, either in Paris or anywhere else.
The magazine's story is simply baseless. Not only is it all based on untrue circumstances, but Holmes looked perfectly happy and healthy on the red carpet at last week's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert in New York City, where she was accompanied by her young daughter. The actress isn't having a meltdown over nonexistent stressors.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
