Katie Holmes isn't getting close to Liev Schreiber following her split from Jamie Foxx, despite a completely false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. The actress isn't developing a romance with her former Ray Donovan co-star.
An alleged source tells Woman's Day, "They had great chemistry on Ray Donovan and everybody could sense it. But was 2015 when they were working together and neither of them was single back then. A romance was out of the question then but it certainly isn't now."
The supposed insider further contends that Holmes and Schreiber have been reconnecting in the wake of her breakup, and are bonding over both being single parents living in New York City. "They've bumped into each other at various events over the last few years and they've exchanged messages and even chatted about working together again," adds the questionable tipster. "But now their communication has taken on a different tone."
From there, the anonymous source says "everyone around them is waiting with bated breath for them to go on a date because they really would make the perfect couple. He would sweep her off her feet, but without being too full on about it." The seemingly imaginary insider adds, "When anyone brings up Liev's name to Katie, you can see she gets all shy. It's actually really cute and has given Katie a much-needed spring in her step."
The tabloid's story, which is based on claims from an unidentified source, has more in common with fan fiction than it does with journalism. Gossip Cop ran the story by Holmes' spokesperson, who tells us, "She hasn't seen Liev since they did the TV show years ago." Simply put, the former co-stars haven't been been getting close.
Here's what the magazine also fails to mention: Schreiber has been dating model Taylor Neisen since October 2017. Just last month, the actor and his girlfriend were spotted riding bikes with his two kids in New York. The outlet is either unaware that the actor is in a relationship or is intentionally omitting the information. Either way, it's clear the tabloid isn't at all trustworthy.
It should be noted, this isn't the first time Woman's Day has attempted to link the actress to a man from her past following her breakup. Just last week, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Holmes was leaning on ex-fiance Chris Klein following her split from Foxx. The publication has also made up several stories about Holmes being pregnant with Foxx's child. This latest article involving Schreiber is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
