One of this week’s tabloids claims Katie Holmes has been hitting the gym and dieting to get in shape for her supposed wedding to Jamie Foxx. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story. It’s completely made-up.

An article in the latest issue of Star says Holmes has completely changed her health and fitness routine because she’s headed down the aisle with Foxx. A supposed source tells the magazine, “Katie’s been on the keto diet — a low-carb, high-fat plan that helped her lose weight and improve her health and vitality. She’s working out at the gym and doing Pilates and yoga. She’s slimmed down and toned up.”

The outlet’s alleged insider goes on to assert Holmes also “bought herself a whole new wardrobe of racy lingerie and minidresses.” According to the questionable tipster, the actress has also had a few nips and tucks that working out alone won’t fix. “Her complexion is glowing, thanks to laser resurfacing and a bit of filler around her eyes and mouth to soften those creases,” says the magazine’s suspicious source, “and she’s open to a few more surgery treatments.”

There are quite a few problems with the tabloid’s phony story, but one of the main issues is that Holmes and Foxx aren’t about to tie the knot. A couple of months ago, a few outlets wrongly reported the pair had gotten engaged, but Holmes’ rep told the New York Post the rumors were false. Meanwhile, Foxx’s spokesperson has told Gossip Cop on the record several times that he has no plans to get married.

The idea that the actress has discovered a newfound passion for working out and eating healthy isn’t true either. Nearly a year ago, Holmes spoke to Women’s Health all about her fitness regimen. Around the same time, Holmes shared with People magazine what she eats to stay in shape. The actress hasn’t suddenly become inspired to get fit because she’s dating Foxx, and most certainly isn’t doing so ahead of a nonexistent wedding.

In addition to the outlet’s story lacking logic, it’s also based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable “insider.” Gossip Cop, however, reached out to Holmes’ spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it’s untrue. Despite what the magazine’s so-called “source” claims, the actress isn’t overhauling her appearance for a wedding.

Last week, Star’s sister publication, the Globe, came up with a more extreme premise about Foxx insisting that Holmes get plastic surgery before their wedding. Last year, the outlet falsely claimed Holmes was trying to lose weight to keep her boyfriend interested in her. The tabloids seem to have a preoccupation with the actress’s physical appearance, but this ongoing saga is baseless.
