Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are not planning a wedding and having twins together, despite a completely fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. There's simply no truth to it.

The actress was spotted in New Orleans last month wearing a diamond ring on her finger, prompting In Touch to announce that she and Foxx are "engaged." An alleged insider tells the magazine that after years of quietly dating the actor, "Katie finally said yes" to his proposal. "Jamie and Katie have talked about getting married many times before, but she was always hesitant, saying she wasn't ready," adds the supposed source. "But this time was different. He totally surprised her... He got on bended knee and took out the vintage ring. Katie teared up and said yes!"

The tabloid's story is false from the very start. It's true the actress was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her finger in New Orleans, but it was on the set of her upcoming movie The Secret. Holmes' rep told the New York Post last week, "Katie's not engaged to anyone besides her fictional movie fiance, played by Jerry O'Connell."

Still, the magazine continues its phony story by claiming that prior to Foxx proposing, he asked for permission from Tom Cruise, Holmes' ex-husband and the father of her 12-year-old daughter Suri. From there, the magazine comes up with all the details of the couple's imaginary wedding. "They want to get married at Jamie's $25 million, 40-acre estate in Hidden Valley, California," writes the unreliable outlet. The questionable tipster adds, "It's private and perfect for the ceremony and reception."

Holmes' daughter Suri will be her "maid of honor," and the actress will "wear something classic by one of her favorite designers," according to the suspicious source, who further contends that the guest list will include dozens of A-list stars. After the wedding, "the next step would be starting a family together," says the seemingly nonexistent insider. The publication then throws in one line about the possibility of the couple having twins, but acknowledges that Holmes isn't actually pregnant. Unfortunately, that didn't stop the magazine from declaring "Twins!" on its cover. "Katie and Jamie are going to be husband and wife, and she trusts this is the right decision," concludes the seemingly made-up source.

Despite what the magazine's anonymous and untraceable "insider" claims, a rep qualified to speak on Holmes' behalf confirms that she's not engaged to Foxx and certainly isn't planning a wedding with him. Meanwhile, the "twins" scenario is completely out of left field. The tabloid even admits in its article that the actress isn't expecting a child, despite what's teased on the cover. In Touch's report is both misleading and a work of fiction.
