A report claiming Katie Holmes has chosen a wedding dress and venue for her supposed wedding to Jamie Foxx is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the claim. A spokesperson for the actress confirms she's not getting married.
According to OK! Australia, however, Holmes "dreams of becoming a wife for the second time." The magazine begins its piece by claiming the actress locked in a wedding venue in Ireland over the summer. Only, Gossip Cop already debunked this premise back in July. Holmes was spotted visiting a historic estate in Ireland that happens to be a place where many people get married. The actress's visit had nothing to do with planning her own ceremony.
The outlet's story gets flimsier from there. Earlier this month, Holmes wore a white dress to the Alice and Olivia show at New York Fashion Week. The tabloid insists the actress wore the outfit to let Foxx "know exactly what he can expect to greet him at the end of the aisle." The publication further contends that she gave the actor "some serious bridal vibes" and will wear the same dress to her wedding.
An alleged insider goes on to say that Holmes' 12-year-old daughter Suri "has a close relationship" with Foxx, adding, "'Jamie is becoming more and more of a father figure to Suri and Katie's very grateful for that." The supposed source continues, "Jamie treats Suri like one of his own daughters and is always singing silly songs to her and making her laugh and smile."
However, People reported earlier this year that while Holmes and Foxx have met each other's kids, the actor "hasn't spent much time" with Suri. The reputable celebrity news outlet further noted that the actor and actress "have their own separate lives and they aren't trying to join them together." The pair enjoy spending time together when their schedules allow it, but they're not headed down the aisle.
Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a rep qualified to speak on Holmes' behalf, and we're exclusively told the magazine's article is simply "not true." The storyline is based on claims from an anonymous and seemingly imaginary "source," but the actress's spokesperson is going on the record to deny it.
It's worth noting, the American version of OK! said in July that Holmes and Foxx had "split." That story wasn't true either, but the international edition of the magazine is now contradicting what its sister publication claimed. It's clear neither tabloid has any insight into the pair's romance.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
