Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are not buying a $30 million townhouse, despite reports spreading in the gossip media. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the false stories. In actuality, the pair has no plans to live together at all.
"Katie Holmes & Jamie Foxx Have Their Eyes On A Stunning $30 Million Townhouse," reads the headline of an OK! story on its website. The outlet claims Holmes and Foxx have "apparently been living together since 2017." But even though the stars allegedly have a "love pad," according to the tabloid, they are "planning on getting a very expensive new place together."
Picking up the same claims from the British magazine Heat, the American tabloid maintains Holmes and Foxx have been "checking out properties close to New York's Central Park, including a stunning $30 million townhouse." The home is said to feature six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The original report cites a so-called "source," who asserts, "They've told their real estate agent that they are looking for somewhere with plenty of room for an expanding family."
Meanwhile, the New Zealand edition of Woman's Day also alleges Holmes and Foxx are looking for a "love nest," but that publication claims it's an "impressive $40 million property." The supposed "insider" in that article is quoted as saying, "Katie fell in love with the place as soon as she saw it and [daughter] Suri squealed with delight. It feels like a real family home." Despite the price discrepancy, the outlet seems to be referring to the same townhouse as Heat and OK!, and there's a suspiciously similar quote about wanting a place with "plenty of room for a growing family."
In fact, a number of the quotes appear to be almost word-for-word. Woman's Day, however, takes things a step further with its supposed snitch contending that in addition to living together, Holmes and Foxx are "thinking about tying the knot in June or July." There's even speculation about a "baby on the way." But none of this is true.
Foxx and Holmes are not living together. They are not getting married. And they are certainly not having a child together.
While Holmes and Foxx do spend time at each other's homes, they have no intention of buying one together. A rep for Foxx exclusively tells Gossip Cop the claims are entirely "inaccurate." And contrary to what these tabloids want readers to believe, his relationship with the actress isn't that serious at all. In a recent People article about Foxx and Holmes, the magazine reported, "When they can be together, they are. There are no obligations... They still have their own separate lives and they aren't trying to join them together." A commitment involving a house, marriage and kids is not in their future.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
