Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are not on “thin ice,” despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. It’s all based on inaccurate speculation and untruths about them being on the verge of a split.

According to Woman’s Day, Foxx was “flirting up a storm with a group of bikini babes” and “couldn’t keep his hands off” one brunette in particular, and now his and Holmes’ “romance is skating on very thin ice.“ A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “Things between Jamie and Katie have been really on and off for months now.” “The fact that he’s constantly flirting with other women and acting like a single guy has caused a lot of tension, but he just can’t seem to help himself,” contends the supposed source. The alleged insider adds, “They’ll fight about it and she’ll tell him that she’s had enough, but in the end she always goes back to him.”

The reality is the tabloid is simply guessing, partially because they’re rarely pictured together and when he is photographed, it’s generally out somewhere having fun. But that doesn’t mean the two don’t care for one another. Gossip Cop recently confirmed a Page Six report about how Holmes and Foxx have genuine a “love” for one another.

Significantly, one source recently told Gossip Cop that Foxx attends a lot of events, some of which he’s paid for, and he’s fully aware that he’s always being photographed. The insider says he’s “not stupid” and very much cognizant about being in public places. The source further noted that while the tabloids like to publish pictures of him with women, he also hangs out a lot with men, but the magazines have no interest in publishing those photos because they don’t dovetail with their manufactured narratives.

Curiously, the tabloid’s article doesn’t feature any pictures of Foxx with “bikini-clad babes.” And glaringly, it doesn’t mention where or when he allegedly “couldn’t keep his hands off” a certain brunette. In celebrity reporting, it’s not difficult to make unfounded claims with vague assertions and little or no details at all. But that doesn’t make any of it true. In fact, it should make readers skeptical.

For her part, a Holmes confidant acknowledges the actress and Foxx have a very unique dynamic. They care for each other and see one another when they can, but they also do not put pressure on their romance. To be sure, even People noted in an article about why Holmes and Foxx’s relationship is so secretive that they “don’t want to have expectations placed on them about how they should be acting in public [or] how often they should be seen together.” The magazine states it “works for them because it’s completely easy” and unencumbered by “obligations.”

A lot of misinformation has recently been written about the couple. Just two weeks ago, a wholly inaccurate report was picked up and spread about how Holmes and Foxx called off a (nonexistent) wedding and split up. As Gossip Cop was first to note, the claim was 100 percent wrong.

Just last week, Holmes own rep exclusively told Gossip Cop on the record, “It’s so easy to write these stories and assume things, but people don’t know [the truth].” Her spokesperson explained they’re simply living their lives and taking care of their kids. “It’s such an obsession with magazines [but] no one really knows anything.” And that certainly includes Woman’s Day.

To say the tabloid has a less than stellar track record when reporting about Holmes would be an understatement. Remember, this is the same outlet that Gossip Cop busted several months ago when it falsely maintained Holmes was getting back together with Joshua Jackson. Both their reps denied the claim, and not only was our story spot-on, but time has also proven us correct.

Then, just four weeks later, the same magazine seemingly forgot its Jackson narrative when it wrongly asserted Holmes was pregnant with Foxx’s baby. As we rightly stated a couple of months ago, that’s also untrue. Oddly, the publication didn’t mention in its latest article that Holmes was allegedly having Foxx’s child. That’s because that story was predicated on baseless speculation and so is the current report. The only ones who may be on “thin ice” are the supposed sources feeding that tabloid so much inaccurate information.
