A tabloid story claiming Jamie Foxx's relationship with Katie Holmes is being "threatened" by his "secret texts" with ex Kristin Grannis is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We're told it's fabricated.
Last month, Foxx was spotted in Los Angeles grabbing lunch with Grannis, the mother of his 8-year-old daughter Annalise. According to In Touch, Holmes is furious about the actor spending time with his ex and it may lead to a split. A so-called "source" tells the magazine that Foxx insisted he met up with Grannis to "discuss their daughter," but the actress was still upset.
The outlet's questionable insider adds, "[Katie] recently found out about a string of texts Jamie sent to Kristin that included details of secret meetings, and him admitting he still loved her." The suppose source continues, "It's taken her years to trust Jamie enough to publicly be seen with him, and he showed a blatant lack of respect."
The seemingly phony insider further contends that Foxx is now begging for forgiveness and planning to take Holmes on a "make-or-break luxury vacation." The purported tipster concludes, "It's going to take a lot of hard work and effort for Jamie to get back into Katie's good graces, because his behavior is unforgivable." Gossip Cop, however, has learned this is all inaccurate.
A source close to the situation exclusively tells us on background that Foxx and Holmes haven't had any issues over his friendly relationship with Grannis. Quite simply, the actor is on good terms with his ex for the sake of their young daughter, and Holmes doesn't have any problem with their dynamic. We're further told the actress never discovered any "secret texts" on Foxx's phone and the premise is made-up.
It should be noted, the secretive Holmes and Foxx enjoy spending time together, but they choose not to put a label on their relationship. As reported by People, the actor and actress have their own separate lives, and they're not particularly focused on what the future holds. Regardless, Gossip Cop can confirm there's no love triangle between Holmes, Foxx and the mother of his child.
Also, this isn't the first time In Touch has baselessly claimed that the actress has jealousy issues. Gossip Cop recently called out the tabloid for making up a story about Holmes being furious with Foxx for supposedly flirting with Charlize Theron. This latest article concerning Grannis is similarly untrue.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
