Is Katie Holmes pregnant with a baby girl? That's what one of the tabloids is claiming, even alleging she announced she's having a child with Jamie Foxx. But this is all bogus, and Gossip Cop can bust the story.
The phony report appears in the current edition of NW, which features the headline, "Katie's Expecting A Sister For Suri: 'Yes, I'm Pregnant!'" But Holmes never made any such declaration. It's a complete fabrication, as are all the allegations in the accompanying article.
An almost assuredly fictional "exclusive insider" is quoted by the gossip magazine as saying, "There's a lot of talk from Katie's inner circle that she and Jamie are having a baby." This supposed source goes on to specifically allege, "I've heard she's just hit the three-month-mark, which would put her due date around August." Continues this purported tipster, "They've started telling their most trusted friends and family."
But despite the "Yes, I'm Pregnant" announcement attributed to Holmes in the headline, the outlet goes on to contradictorily claim Holmes and Foxx are "keeping mum... on the happy news, at least publicly." The publication further maintains the stars are "remaining coy about their exciting news," although the actress has been "subtly giving the game away."
How so? The aforementioned "insider" claims Holmes has been "avoiding alcohol," has a "real glow," and only "smiles" whenever she's asked about having another child. Additionally, Suri is described as "beyond excited" for this alleged sibling, whom Holmes supposedly believes "will be a girl, too." Furthermore, the questionable source contends "marriage is definitely on the cards" for Holmes and Foxx, with "speculation a wedding could take place this year."
And that's not all. The tabloid asserts Foxx is "even planning on adopting Suri as his own." Of course, Gossip Cop has shot down inaccurate tales in the past about Foxx adopting Holmes' daughter. We've also corrected numerous stories just like this one about pregnancies and weddings. Each time, Gossip Cop has rightly reported they have no intention of tying the knot and having a child together.
That's still the case today. Although Holmes and Foxx have met each others' kids and spend time together when their schedules allow, their dynamic is not as serious as the gossip media makes it out to be. It's also worth noting that in Holmes' new Women's Health cover story, she speaks extensively about raising Suri, but makes no mention of having another child. Most importantly, Gossip Cop is assured by multiple sources, who weren't authorized to comment on the record, that the "Dawson's Creek" star is not currently pregnant and having a baby in August. A rep for Holmes also insists the story is "false."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
