Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx did NOT tell OK! “how we fell in love,” despite a deceptive tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can expose what’s really going on.
The new issue hit newsstands on Wednesday, blaring on the cover, “Katie & Jamie: How We Fell In Love.” There’s even a blurb touting, “Only In OK!” It would be understandable if readers saw this edition and thought Holmes and Foxx gave an interview to the magazine about their relationship. But that’s not the case.
The cover was purposefully designed to be misleading, manipulating consumers into thinking the alleged couple told the outlet all about their romance. But the actual story inside the issue features nothing directly from the stars. The tabloid even admits in the very first paragraph of its article that it’s a supposed “insider” who is “spilling all,” not Holmes and Foxx themselves. Like every previous cover story on the pair, the article only contains what OK! claims is happening.
Gossip Cop has to wonder: Is this cover story based on the same “insider” who falsely claimed Holmes was pregnant with Foxx’s baby last November? Or is it the one who wrongly alleged a “pregnant” Holmes called off her wedding to Foxx back in May?
It’s telling that neither of those tales, or the approximate dozen other cover story claims OK! has published, are mentioned in this new one. And now, says the magazine’s supposed “insider,” Holmes and Foxx are only “talking about having a child together,” and may finally go public as an “agreement” with Tom Cruise banning her from dating publicly for five years is “expiring.” Right.
What’s really going on is the tabloid wanted to once again dupe readers by pretending it has inside information. It does not. In fact, a rep for Holmes exclusively tells Gossip Cop the magazine has published a “ridiculous story on all fronts.” That about sums it up.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
