A new report claiming Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are "moving down south" together is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the claim. A spokesperson for the actress confirms it's false.
Holmes visited Foxx earlier this week in Atlanta, where the actor is shooting his upcoming movie Just Mercy. According to RadarOnline, the two secretly went house hunting at some point during her visit. An alleged insider tells the blog, "They looked at three beautiful, expensive mansions in Buckhead. They were all kid-friendly too."
The supposed source further contends that Foxx has grown close to the actress's 12-year-old daughter Suri, who "acts like her big sister" to his 9-year-old daughter Anelise. "Katie and Jamie both love Atlanta and think it's a good place to raise their daughters and be out of the L.A. spotlight," adds the seemingly made-up tipster.
The website's article is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable "source," but Gossip Cop checked in with Holmes' rep, who tells us on the record that it's "not true." The actress and actor aren't buying a home together in Atlanta or anywhere else. It should be noted, Holmes' 12-year-old daughter goes to school in New York City, while Foxx's 9-year-old girl attends school in Los Angeles. Their parents aren't forcing the girls to uproot their lives and become a blended family in Georgia.
Meanwhile, People reported earlier this year that while Holmes and Foxx have met each other's kids, they "have their own separate lives and they aren't trying to join them together." The reputable magazine also noted that the pair didn't merge their families for any of the major holidays last year. It's highly unlikely that Holmes and Foxx are suddenly planning to live under the same roof with their daughters.
Here's what really happening. Holmes visited Foxx in Atlanta, where he's shooting a movie, and RadarOnline decided to turn it into a story about the two shopping for homes and raising their daughters together. The premise is totally absurd and baseless.
It should be noted, the blog has trouble keeping its narratives straight when it comes to the pair's relationship. In July, Gossip Cop busted the site for wrongly reporting that Holmes was dumping Foxx over his partying and "womanizing." How exactly did the actress go from dumping the actor over trust issues to wanting to raise a family together? It's clear the outlet just makes up stories about the two on a whim.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
