Katie Holmes is not having a "miracle baby" with Jamie Foxx, despite a false tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus premise. A spokesperson for the actress confirms it's untrue.
According to Star, however, the 40-year-old actress is ready to have a child with Foxx after years of casually dating. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Jamie and Katie aren't trying to hide their love anymore. They're serious about each other these days, and they're ready to take the next step by becoming parents." The supposed source adds, "Katie's been desperate to settle down with Jamie and make this work as a committed relationship."
The questionable tipster goes on to say that Holmes' 12-year-old daughter Suri has "been begging for a little sister for years now," which further convinced the actress to have a second child. The tabloid also claims that Tom Cruise caught wind of the supposed baby plans and "sent them a note sharing his good wishes for a happy life together." The seemingly phony source adds, "Jamie and Tom used to be close friends, so this was strange for him, and at first he was furious, but at this point he doesn't want bad blood with either Katie or Jamie. This was his way of taking the high road."
The "insider" concludes that Holmes and Foxx are planning to settle down together in New York City to raise the baby because the actress "wants them to be a traditional family." However, the unreliable magazine is basing this premise on information from anonymous sources, but Holmes' own rep, who's qualified to speak on her behalf, tells Gossip Cop on the record that it's "not true." Meanwhile, People published an article earlier this year breaking down Holmes and Foxx's relationship, noting that they "don't see themselves as a couple in the traditional sense and they don't want to be labeled as a couple." That being said, they're certainly not planning to "become parents" together.
It's worth noting, Star can't keep track of its stories when it comes to the pair's romance. In mid-July, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming that Holmes was "done" with Foxx because he wouldn't stop partying. This latest article fails to mention how the actress went from being "done" with their relationship to having his baby in less than two months. And this past April, the magazine wrongly reported that Holmes had "dumped" Foxx for Joshua Jackson. The outlet clearly has zero insight into the pair's relationship, so it instead makes up stories and switches narratives on a whim.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
