Katie Holmes is not begging Jamie Foxx for a baby, despite a completely false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct the phony story. We've learned it's flat-out fabricated.

According to NW, the actress has set a so-called "baby deadline" for Foxx. A supposed source tells the outlet, "She wants to get moving and be pregnant by early 2020 at the latest, to ensure she and Jamie build on this new, serious chapter in their romance. She's not trying to put pressure on him and is taking a very thought-out approach to it all."

However, the alleged insider maintains that Holmes is also "conscious that her biological clock is ticking," so she doesn't want to wait much longer. "Plus there are other factors," adds the questionable tipster, "like giving [daughter] Suri a sibling before she's in her mid-teens, as well as knowing what roles she can and can't sign up for next year."

The tabloid hides behind an anonymous and untraceable source to sell its story, but Gossip Cop checked in with Holmes's spokesperson, who tells us on the record it's "all lies." Despite what the outlet's unidentified "insider" claims, a rep qualified to speak on the actress's behalf assures us she's not begging Foxx for a child.

Of course, we're not surprised by the publication's bogus report. NW has a incredibly poor track record when it comes to reporting about the couple. In January, for example, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Holmes and Foxx were expecting a baby boy. Naturally, they weren't. This latest article doesn't bother to explain what happened to the child they were supposedly having earlier this year.

Last November, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Holmes and Foxx were getting married in Paris. Shortly before that, the unreliable magazine made up a story about Holmes and Foxx expecting a baby girl. Not a single one of these narratives ever panned out, and this latest one won't either.

As Gossip Cop has stressed several times, Holmes and Foxx spend time together when their schedules allow it, but they have a somewhat unconventional romance and lead separate lives when they're not together. Reputable outlets such as E! News and People magazine have also confirmed this to be the case. The pair enjoy each other's company, but they're not headed down the aisle and most certainly aren't having a baby together.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
