Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are not having a baby together, nor has Tom Cruise ever been upset about that possibility. Gossip Cop debunked that made-up claim exactly one year ago today. At the time, we noted it was 100 percent untrue, and its remains false to this day.

On February 8, 2018, Life & Style maintained Cruise would be extremely “bothered” by his ex-wife having a baby with Foxx. In an attempt to lend credence to its report, the tabloid alleged it had a “source” who shared how Cruise “won’t be happy” for Holmes and certainly not for Foxx, who he “once considered a good friend.” The same anonymous tipster added how Cruise was “livid” just knowing they were a couple.

Most significantly, as Gossip Cop pointed out 12 months ago (and time has proven us right), Holmes and Foxx were not going to, nor do they plan now, to have a baby. A year ago, a mutual friend of ours and the actress told us the two weren’t starting a family. Additionally, Foxx’s spokesperson, speaking on his behalf, assured Gossip Cop the tabloid’s tale was “inaccurate.”

Unfortunately, Life & Style hasn’t gotten much better with its reporting about Foxx and Holmes in the 365 days since that article. Two months ago, for example, the magazine ran a cover story that falsely insisted Foxx “dumped” Holmes on her 40th birthday. In reality, the actor flew cross-country to New York, where he joined Holmes and her mother at Serendipity 3 for a birthday celebration.

Days after that giant error, the two were photographed in Florida, prompting the same unreliable outlet to concoct a cover-up story about how Holmes and Foxx went on vacation in Miami to “save” their relationship. Actually, they never broke up, as wrongly contended by the tabloid. The pre-planned trip was simply the couple’s opportunity to be together after her birthday and before the holidays, which they were set to separately spend with their respective daughters.

While the publication tried to explain away its undeniably inaccurate cover story about the actress being “dumped,” it has not come up with an excuse or issued a correction for untruthfully asserting one year ago that Holmes and Foxx were having a baby, and Cruise was upset about it. As previously noted, Gossip Cop occasionally revisits articles from the year before to show visitors how tabloids’ claims pan out over time. In this instance, it’s clear the magazine’s report was wrong a year ago, and it’s still entirely incorrect to this day.
