Katie Holmes’ 11-year-old daughter Suri Cruise has not been auditioning for acting roles, despite a completely untrue report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story. We’re told it’s entirely fabricated.

“Hollywood, Here She Comes: Suri’s Starring Role!” reads a headline in the latest issue of the Australian tabloid NW. The accompanying article contends that Holmes and Tom Cruise’s young daughter is following her famous parents into the “family business.” The unreliable magazine claims Suri has been “quietly auditioning for several projects” over the past few months with the hopes of landing the lead role in a movie or TV show.

The outlet quotes a supposed “source” as saying, “Suri’s always loved performing and dreams of landing her own Disney show one day. Katie fully supports her too.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the actress, who exclusively assures us that her young daughter isn’t auditioning for acting roles. There’s simply no truth to the tabloid’s story.

NW seemingly concocted this bogus article because Suri helped Holmes introduce Taylor Swift at Z100’s Jingle Ball in New York City last month. The outlet used this as a jumping-off point to contend that the 11-year-old is begging her mom to be put in the spotlight, but that’s not the case. It’s not out of the question that Suri would want to try her hand at acting at some point in the future, seeing as her parents are both performers, but she’s not currently going on auditions.

In fact, Gossip Cop called out Star just last month for falsely claiming that Holmes’ daughter was embarking on a career in show business. Shortly before that fabrication, we busted the National Enquirer for making up a story about Suri taking acting lessons. Despite an Australian outlet deciding to recycle this bogus narrative, it remains untrue.
