Kathy Griffin’s career has taken a hit after holding President Donald Trump’s fake severed head in a controversial photo shoot released earlier this week. A new report now claims the comedienne is hoping to get roasted on Comedy Central to fix her reputation, but Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story.

As Gossip Cop reported, several shows on Griffin’s Celebrity Run-In Tour were canceled by the venues in the wake of her shocking beheading photo. In addition, the toilet company Squatty Potty dropped Griffin from its upcoming ad campaign, while CNN fired her as co-host of its annual New Year’s Eve show. As Gossip Cop reported earlier, “The View” co-hosts also debated whether Griffin’s career will end over the fallout.

But HollywoodLife is now purporting that Griffin wants to ingratiate herself with the public again by getting ripped apart on Comedy Central’s next roast. A supposed “source” tells the site that Griffin “wants to show she can take a joke” by allowing other comics to tease her about the situation, “and thinks it will humanize her and make her look better to those she has angered.” The outlet’s dubious insider further says the comedienne “has to combat the recent turmoil she is in with comedy,” and believes a roast is the perfect outlet to be forgiven.

But Gossip Cop checked in with Griffin’s manager, who exclusively assures us she hasn’t expressed interest in a Comedy Central roast, and the site’s story is “completely false.” HollywoodLies is seemingly trying to capitalize on the controversy surrounding the comedienne with its bogus report, but there’s simply no truth to it.
