An alleged Kate Middleton pregnancy was NOT confirmed by the palace, despite a new tabloid cover story claiming she's expecting her third baby. Gossip Cop can bust the false report.

The new cover of Star announces, "Princess Kate Pregnant! Baby No. 3 Due In September!" The front of the edition even touts, "Palace Confirms." It says inside the issue, "Prince William and Duchess Kate have some royally good news: The couple are expecting their third child."

According to the story, while Prince William was recently on a ski trip, Middleton was "excitedly gearing up for their big reveal. The joyous announcement? She's pregnant again!" A so-called "palace insider" tells the magazine, "It's the most wonderful news. Kate is starting to show, and she's absolutely glowing. And as for William, he's simply ecstatic."

"After false pregnancy hopes toward the end of last year, Kate, 35, and William, 34, are on cloud nine right now. The gorgeous queen-in-waiting is estimated to be about three months along, so they decided it was time to let their inner circle in on the news," asserts the publication. It's even suggested that William's ski vacation was a celebratory trip. A supposed "friend" contends, "Kate wanted him to have fun before focusing on the baby."

Of course, this cover story doesn't make any sense when considered alongside an October one that said Middleton was "four months pregnant." If that was the case, how could she possibly now be expecting a baby due this September? What, readers are supposed to believe Middleton is gestating for more than a year now?!

The cover of that issue wrongly exclaimed, "It's Official!" As noted above this new one goes with "Palace Confirms," a label also used by Star sister publication OK! last December. But the palace didn't confirm Middleton was pregnant then, as Gossip Cop rightly said at the time, and the palace hasn't done so now, either.

Tellingly, nothing is even said inside the actual article about confirmation from the palace, quite possibly because Star knew it didn't have any. Indeed, Gossip Cop is exclusively told by one of our trusted royal insiders that the palace did NOT confirm Middleton is pregnant with her third baby, despite this tabloid cover story implying otherwise.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
