Is Kate Middleton pregnant with another baby girl? That's the claim on the cover of one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop, however, can correct the report. We're told it's untrue.
According to the latest issue of Star, Middleton and Prince William are expecting their fourth child, just eight months after the birth of their son Louis. The magazine maintains, "A baby girl is on the way for the radiant royal couple." Its so-called "informant" adds, "Kate and William are deliriously happy to be expecting again, and better still that it's a girl."
The publication goes on to allege such intimate details including, "Kate actually conceived while still on her maternity leave" at her and Prince William's country estate Anmer Hall in Norfolk. Its alleged "insider" further relates, "Kate and William bent down and told Princess Charlotte she was getting a baby sister, and she was so excited, she started dancing around the room." Meanwhile, "Prince George can't wait to have another sibling," contends the magazine's supposed tipster.
Then, after rehashing how the Duchess of Cambridge suffered during her previous pregnancies from hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme form of morning sickness, the outlet claims Middleton was "once down to a shocking 96 pounds," but is now enjoying "gaining mommy weight." But has she really put on pounds? Two days ago, Prince William and Kate Middleton visited the Evelina London Children's Hospital, where she looked rather thin as she met with sick kids.
Regardless, Gossip Cop reached out to a Kensington Palace insider, who laughed off the American tabloid's story. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge told us if Middleton were really expecting, "It would have been announced by Kensington Palace." And clearly, there's been no announcement.
Curiously, the tabloid doesn't note how far along the Duchess supposedly is. Just two months ago, Gossip Cop busted the same outlet when it similarly wrongly alleged Middleton was 96 pounds and pregnant with her fourth baby. And a few week before that we also called out the publication for its absurd cover story about how Prince William and Middleton were being crowned the next king and queen of England.
Also, there's no mention in the current article about Prince William and Middleton's "twins." Over the years, Gossip Cop has nailed the magazine for untruthfully reporting the royals were expecting twins, all based on what it asserted was information from palace insiders. Some of those cover stories are featured right below.
Additionally, Star's latest narrative isn't even original. Three months ago, Gossip Cop debunked its sister publication OK! when it swore up and down Middleton was pregnant with her fourth baby. And half a year ago we also exposed Life & Style for falsely claiming Middleton was pregnant again with baby number four. Whether or not the Duchess of Cambridge ultimately has another child, she's currently not pregnant, and the news won't be broken by an often inaccurate tabloid.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
