Kate Middleton Mommy Blogs

Is Kate Middleton anonymously posting on parenting sites? That’s what a U.K. tabloid is claiming. Gossip Cop looked into the story and has the truth.

According to Reveal, Middleton is secretly reaching out for online help when it comes to raising her two kids with Prince William. The cover of the new issue (at right) exclaims, “Kate going undercover on mummy blogs.” She’s even deed an “anxious mom,” along with Cheryl Cole and Kim Kardashian. Inside the issue, the magazine alleges the Duchess of Cambridge has managed to keep her identity hidden while using the Internet to get advice from fellow moms. The publication even singles out Mumsnet, which touts itself as “the U.K.’s most popular parenting website,” as Middleton’s resource of choice.

A purported source claims to the magazine, “She has adopted an anonymous name, and mainly posts questions about issues she and Prince William disagree on, like watching cartoons before bed.” Conveniently, the outlet’s tipster maintains Middleton would “never admit to using the web for advice,” which is a great excuse for why the royal hasn’t spoken publicly about being a fan of such “mommy blogs.”

“The Royal Family tend to ‘just get on with it’ when it comes to raising children,” contends the publication’s supposed snitch. “But, since mums on the internet generally agree with her point of view and not Will’s, she will go right on posting!” And by asserting Middleton is only posting anonymously, that’s a built-in explanation for why no one has discovered her alleged posts.

Yet it’s hard to believe an outlet like Reveal got such a scoop. This is the same tabloid that passed off a seemingly made-up Robert Pattinson interview about Taylor Lautner in 2012. The magazine hasn’t done much in the years since to build up its credibility.

And while it’s certainly possible that Middleton surfs the web for parenting info, like virtually all parents (royal or not), this piece is more than a little bit suspicious. So it’s no surprise that one of our Kensington Palace contacts tell us the tale is “rubbish.”
