A new tabloid story about Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn having a “terrifying” experience during a Ouija board seance is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can debunk this tall tale. We’re told it never happened.

An article in the latest issue of Star claims Hawn recently hosted a seance at her Los Angeles home, but what started out as a fun game turned into a frightening ordeal when an “uninvited guest” showed up. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Goldie invited a few friends and her daughter to her supernatural shindig and everyone was expecting a light-hearted goofy evening.”

The outlet’s questionable insider continues, “They tried summoning loved ones who’d passed over to the other side, but the messages suddenly became frightening and scared the living souls out of everyone.” The seemingly phony source further claims that one of the actress’s guests got so scared she ran out of the house. This is all very spooky, but it’s also very fictional.

Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who laughed off the tabloid’s tale before exclusively assuring us that no such incident occurred. It seems likely that the magazine concocted this story because Hawn once revealed in an interview that a Ouija board predicted her third pregnancy. On a 1987 episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” the actress said that the game spelled out “new baby” shortly before she found out she was pregnant. Despite Hawn’s fondness for Ouija board’s, the article printed in the latest edition of Star is fabricated.

It should also be noted, the untrustworthy outlet has a very poor track record when it comes to accurately reporting about Hudson. Last year, the tabloid had an ongoing narrative about the actress being in a relationship with Brad Pitt. The magazine conveniently dropped the phony storyline once she started dating current boyfriend Danny Fujikawa. This latest article may be more frivolous than spending months reporting about a fake romance, but it’s no more accurate.
