Kate Hudson was not "dumped in the delivery room," despite a completely untrue tabloid cover story. For starters, the pregnant actress hasn't given birth yet. She certainly hasn't been "dumped" either. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus report.
According to Star, the actress was rushed to the hospital a few weeks ago after coming down with a sudden sickness. According to an alleged insider, her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa told her he wanted out of their relationship amid her supposed health scare. "Kate was devastated," says the supposed source. "She's known Danny hasn't been happy, but she thought he'd stick around for the sake of their baby girl." It should be noted, the tabloid's cover features the headline "dumped in the delivery room," but the accompanying article only says she went to the hospital with pregnancy complications.
The magazine's "insider" goes on to say that Hudson turned out to be fine, but "she might have to raise her daughter on her own." The alleged issue is that the actress "wears the pants and dictates everything from where they should go out to eat, and so forth. It's nerve-wracking for a free-spirited guy like Danny, who's used to being his own person."
The "source" the notes that Hudson and Fujikawa visited her family's ranch in Aspen in mid-July, but says she had to convince him to join her on the trip in a last-ditch effort to save their relationship. During the vacation, however, the couple supposedly got into a fight after the musician brought up "Kate's fling with Brad Pitt." The alleged insider adds, "He's very jealous. I mean, what man wants to think that his girlfriend hooked up with Brad Pitt?!" As Gossip Cop has previously noted, the actress was never involved with the movie star. Last year, Hudson herself said the rumors she dated Pitt are "the craziest of all time."
Still, the outlet's seemingly phony source says that in the days before her baby arrives, Hudson is "facing the possibility of being a single mom." The "insider" concludes, "She really thought Danny was The One, but now it's looking like he may be the one that got away."
The tabloid's account of events simply don't add up. Hudson and her boyfriend have spent the majority of the summer traveling around the world together, and she frequently documents their trips on social media. In early June, Hudson shared an Instagram photo of her and Fujikawa taking a hike for his birthday, along with the caption, "Happy birthday baby #LoveOfMyLife." A few weeks later, Hudson posted an Instagram picture of her boyfriend kissing her on the cheek during a dinner outing.
In late June, Hudson's Instagram page featured a photo of Fujikawa wrapping his arms around her during a trip to Tuscany. In early July, Hudson shared an Instagram photo of her boyfriend pushing out his stomach, adding the caption, "Pregnant together." A few days later, Fujikawa helped Hudson celebrate her son's seventh birthday. The couple went to Aspen after that. At what point over the past few weeks did a pregnancy scare and near breakup occur? Hudson's social media page proves she's been happy and healthy all summer.
As for the claim that a split is imminent, Hudson and Fujikawa spent this past weekend at a spa in Ojai, California. Their relationship was going strong as of a few days ago, and there's been zero indication of any hiccups over the past few weeks or anytime before that. In fact, all evidence points to the contrary.
Meanwhile, Gossip Cop busted Star in mid-June for a similar cover story about Hudson being "pregnant and dumped." The claim wasn't true six weeks ago and it's no more accurate now.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
