Karli Webster Addison Agen Voice Battle

Karli Webster and Addison Agen‘s Battle on “The Voice” on Monday had two coaches fighting to steal one of the artists. Watch the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Agen covered “Jolene” for her Blind Audition, which aired earlier this month. The teen burst into tears upon receiving a standing ovation from Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine. Both superstars made strong pitches to get the aspiring star to join their teams, but she ultimately chose Cyrus to be her coach. Now for the second round of the NBC competition, she had to face off against another member of Team Miley during the Battles.

Cyrus explained that she picked Agen and Webster to duet together because of a “similarity in their voice,” with a desire to focus on only one of them going forward. They were assigned Cyndi Lauper’s infectious classic, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun,” and received extra mentoring from Billy Ray Cyrus, who teamed up with his daughter as her special guest advisor. During rehearsals, both contestants were in awe of “Papa Cyrus” and “blow away” to be working with the Cyrus family. Billy Ray thought the two singers were on “opposite ends of the spectrum” as they sang a slowed-down version of Lauper’s track. “It’s hurting my soul that I’m pairing them together because I really don’t want to lose either of them,” Cyrus admitted, predicting this match-up would change their lives.

Following the official performance, Levine said, “Ladies, that was amazing.” He called the duet “perfect” and revealed he was “excited” to try to steal one of them, no matter who was the winner. In fact, he didn’t just fight Cyrus for Agen during the auditions, but also for Webster, too. “Once I put you together, it crushed my soul into a thousand pieces because I want to keep you both,” the pop star now confessed, even saying this would be her “hardest decision” as a coach.

Cyrus eventually chose Webster to stay on her team. That left it open for the other coaches to steal Agen. And just as Levine hit his button, Jennifer Hudson pushed hers, too. She argued a “girl power” angle, while he pointed out how much he’s wanted the 16-year-old on his team all along. “I’ve now pushed for you twice,” he told her. And now Agen finally chose Levine as her coach. Check out the video below!
