The Kardashians are the latest celebrities to donate to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. On Tuesday, it was revealed the Kardashian-Jenners donated $500,000 to rescue and recovery operations in Houston.

The family is splitting its donation in half: $250,000 will go to the Red Cross and $250,000 will go to the Salvation Army. It’s unclear specifically how the money will be used, but it’s likely the funds will go towards supplies. The thousands who are currently in Texas shelters are struggling without basic necessities, from diapers to blankets. the donation was made on behalf of family matriarch Kris Jenner, along with Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, in addition to Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Rob Kardashian was not mentioned by the momager, who tweeted, “We have been watching the heartbreaking footage of the catastrophic flooding in Houston. Our hearts go out to the people of Texas. My daughters & I are donating $500k to Houston disaster relief to help those affected by #HurricaneHarvey. Go to redcross.org and helpsalvationarmy.org to find out how you can help. We must all stand together in times of need!.” Kim confirmed, “Houston we are praying for you! My mom, sisters & I will be donating $500,000 to @redcross and @salvationarmyus today #HoustonStrong.”

To date, the family’s contribution is one of the highest publicly known by Hollywood stars. As Gossip Cop reported, many celebrities are helping with Hurricane Harvey relief. Kevin Hart, for instance, announced plans to donate $50,000, and then challenged a number of his famous peers to do the same. The Kardashian-Jenners have now accepted the challenge, as did Chris Brown on Monday night, revealing on Twitter that he planned to donate $100,000. Unrelated to that, singer Chris Young has also pledged $100,000.

A few celebrities have also offered to equal what is donated by fans. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, for example, tweeted on Tuesday morning, “Joining @jackantonoff & matching up to 10k donations to @Montrose_Center Hurricane Harvey relief.” Others, like Andy Cohen, crowd-sourced on social media for suggestions on which organizations should receive contributions. Meanwhile, Houston native Beyonce has indicated that she has something in the works.

She said in a statement, “My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help. I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor to implement a plan to help as many as we can.” The pastor is Rudy Rasmus, who works at the city’s St. John’s United Methodist Church.
