Did the Kardashians' coordinate their pregnancies for a massive payday? An outrageous report about their "$25 million babies" claims the timing was "planned with the promise of cold, hard cash." But Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story.
"Leave it to Kris Jenner to craft a foolproof plot by engineering the creation of life itself," Star writes in an absurd statement. The tabloid asserts the momager was the "mastermind behind Khloe, Kylie and Kim's simultaneous pregnancies with an ultra-lucrative payoff in mind." Let's just stop here and consider the ridiculousness of these claims. Aside from the decision to use or not use birth control, a person can't "plan" a pregnancy. One can hope to get pregnant at a certain time, but there's nothing "foolproof" behind it. Yet the gossip magazine wants readers to believe Kris is the reason why Kim's surrogate was successfully implanted with an embryo, why Khloe conceived after years of fertility issues, and why Kylie is having a baby at 20, having become pregnant only weeks upon starting a new relationship.
The outlet maintains Khloe and Kylie "timed their pregnancies to coincide with Kim's," as if it was guaranteed that they'd definitely get pregnant upon trying. A so-called "insider" is quoted as saying, "Kris knew having three of her daughters simultaneously expecting would bring drama, tears, attention, competition — everything she's trying to sustain for sake of bigger paydays." This supposed source further claims, "All three sisters have been promised endorsement deals, TV specials and even books. They're looking forward to majorly cashing in and breathing new life into their careers."
In fact, the publication contends, "The trio can expect a $25 million payday from their slice of the earnings." Adds the alleged tipster, "These sisters have everything to lose, so it's worth doing anything they can to keep ["Keeping Up with the Kardashians"] ratings up and storylines fresh. And that includes triple pregnancies." That's an odd claim coming from the same tabloid that, more than a year ago, falsely announced in a cover story, "Finally Kardashians Canceled!" The magazine made a similarly untrue announcement in 2014. So, twice the outlet wrongly claimed "KUWTK" was done, and now readers are supposed to believe that it learned the family is growing for the expressed purpose of keeping the show on the air. Right.
There's also another red flag. The aforementioned "source" claims Khloe is "particularly peeved at sharing her maternity moment" with Kylie. But if she didn't want to share the spotlight, why would she have agreed to Kris' supposed plan for simultaneous pregnancies? The assertions don't make much sense. And as wild as it seems, the pregnancies really are just a happy, blessed coincidence. That's not to say the babies won't be a financial boon in some way, but the notion that Kris "engineered" a "plot" for Kim, Khloe and Kylie to all be expecting babies at the same time, as if she has any control over conception, is ludicrous. And a rep flatly tells Gossip Cop exclusively, "It's false."
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
