Are the Kardashians “branding” the new babies about to join the family? A report claims the famous clan is already scheming to financially profit off the newborns. Gossip Cop looked into the story.
With Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner all set to welcome kids in the next few months, RadarOnline is announcing in a headline, “Kashing In On Kids! Kardashians Take Financial Meeting To Talk Branding New Babies.” According to the webloid, “The Kar-Jenner’s are going through a series of major meetings in order to set up a game plan on how they’ll cash in on all the kids.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “The family had a meeting to game plan for what they’re doing financially with the new babies on the way” and “how they’re going to brand the children.”
“The big question is whether they should create separate brands or a group brand,” contends the site, with its supposed snitch asserting that “Kris said they’ve been in it together since day one so she thinks it’s a good idea to combine the kids” with “one brand for all product lines,” but Kylie “doesn’t want territories to be crossed.” The outlet’s purported tipster maintains the teen is “annoyed that her makeup line has been linked with Kim’s, so she expressed that she thinks they need to be clear on the categories.”
But that supposedly isn’t the only hurdle to cross. The outlet further alleges Khloe “initially didn’t want her baby involved, but per usual, Kris ‘basically guilt-tripped’ Khloe saying ‘how she could do that to her child — this is their legacy!'” That said, one “tot has been blacklisted from the collaboration,” it’s claimed, with the “source” purporting, “Rob has been upset his daughter Dream isn’t a part of it. The family has told him they don’t think it’s fair for Chyna to have a piece of pie.”
Yet nothing is said about Kourtney Kardashian’s three children and nothing is said about why no “branding” was done before this time, given that, combined with Kim’s two kids and Rob’s one, there’s already been six in the family for more than a year. It’s only because there will be three more additions that they’ve decided to take action? That’s far-fetched. It’s also suspect that with these claims about “branding” the kids and making money off of them, the webloid does not name one proposed business endeavor.
There’s the vague mentions of “territories” and “categories,” but no information on any of the supposed projects. In fact, the only mention of a specific project, Kylie’s makeup line, comes in a completely false context. Gossip Cop already busted the site for wrongly claiming Jenner was clashing with Kardashian over her fragrance and beauty line. In actuality, their respective businesses are conducted with each other’s full support.
Furthermore, the outlet doesn’t acknowledge that the family has already done a Kardashian Kids clothing line while Kardashian also has her Kids Supply collection with Kanye West. None of that has involved “branding” their own children and using them for financial means. To say there’s a lot of holes in this report would be an understatement. So it’s no surprise that with all the omissions and inaccuracies, a rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop the RadarOnline story is simply “false.”
