Kanye West is not "enraged" by Taylor Swift referencing Kim Kardashian's robbery in the music video for her new song "Look What You Made Me Do," despite a new report. Gossip Cop is exclusively told the rapper hasn't expressed that he's furious to anyone in his inner circle.
According to a newly manufactured story by HollywoodLife, West was "enraged" when Swift alluded to Kardashian being robbed at gunpoint in Paris in the new video for "Look What You Made Me Do." The website alleges he thought it wad a "pretty low thing for Taylor to do." The outlet even maintains that a "source close to the rapper" tells the outlet, "He was upset that Taylor exploited Kim's robbery."
And while it's true West was not pleased by some of the imagery in the music video that evoked the reality star's harrowing experience, Gossip Cop is assured no one in the rapper's camp was told he was furious or "enraged," nor are his confidants leaking stories to HollywoodLies, as it's nicknamed because of its penchant for stretching the truth. A West insider, who has helped Gossip Cop bust a slew of untrue claims about him, assures us this new story is nothing more than speculation.
However, often the site's guesswork blows up in its face. As you may recall, after the rapper met with the then president-elect in New York, HollywoodLife made up a fictitious claim about how West was performing at Donald Trump's inauguration. That absurdity, of course, came on the heels of the webloid's equally untrue assertion that West was designing Melania Trump's inauguration dress. In both those erroneous articles (and many others), HollywoodLies maintained its information came from a source close to West.
So, either these alleged West insiders are lying to the repeatedly discredited outlet, or the site is concocting stories and simply hoping it doesn't get caught fibbing. Neither of those scenarios, however, are legitimate journalism. As Gossip Cop noted above, a reliable West confidant confirms to us the rapper is not "enraged" by Swift's oblique references to Kardashian's robbery.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
