Kanye West is NOT headed for rehab, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We're told it's not true.

The cover of the latest issue of OK! teases a story with the headline, "Kanye Drug Crisis: Headed For Rehab?" The inside article, however, makes no mention of the rapper going away for treatment, but instead purports that he was "heavily medicated" at his New York Fashion Week show last month.

A so-called "source" tells the magazine that in order for West to get through his Yeezy Season 5 show without having a breakdown, he had to take a number of sedatives. "It worked. He was relaxed on his big day," says the tabloid's supposed insider. "He was just an absolute zombie. He gave one-word answers to [wife] Kim [Kardashian] and his assistants."

The publication's questionable source goes on to claim that one of West's "designers had to hold his hand when he moved around because he was unsteady on his feet." The outlet's questionable "insider" further alleges, "It was a little scary. His team is hoping he doesn't get addicted to these pills."

Here's what's really "scary": OK! throwing around the phrase "Headed For Rehab" on its cover and not having any proof whatsoever in its own article to back up such an outrageous claim. West takes prescription medications, like millions of other people, but he does not have a "drug crisis." Additionally, sources on the scene assure Gossip Cop that West was not an "absolute zombie," "heavily sedated," or "unsteady on his feet" at the Yeezy Season 5 show. West's rep also tells Gossip Cop the insinuation that the rapper is "headed for rehab" is patently false.

Remember, this is the same tabloid that wrongly splayed on its cover two months ago that West and Kim Kardashian were divorcing. Curiously, the magazine didn't mention anything about the alleged divorce in its latest inaccurate article. Much like that story and numerous others, the publication's latest report about West possibly needing treatment in "rehab" is entirely untrue.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
