Kanye West did not leave Kim Kardashian after supposedly getting into a "massive fight," despite a tabloid report falsely claiming the couple is on the brink of divorce. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. A rep for the reality star says it's false.
According to In Touch, Kardashian has been humiliated by her husband's recent Twitter rants, controversial statement about slavery being "a choice" and admission that he got addicted to opioids after undergoing secret liposuction in 2016. The unreliable magazine further claims she's starting to worry about how West's behavior will affect her children and the family's public image.
As the story goes, the spouses "fought bitterly" over the situation, resulting in West walking out on his wife and traveling to Wyoming. A so-called "source" tells the outlet, "Kanye was furious that she would even try to silence him. He stormed off, leaving Kim in tears." The rapper did in fact head to a resort in Wyoming earlier this week, but it's not because he and Kardashian had a battle. In reality, West is working on new music in his Jackson Hole recording studio.
Still, the publication's seemingly phony tipster insists Kardashian is happy that her husband is out of town. "She's doing whatever she can to be vocal about how Kanye's opinions are not hers," says the suspicious source, who further maintains that the reality star "hopes people won't hold Kanye's actions against her." The alleged insider concludes that "Kanye's latest meltdown" is the last straw for Kardashian, who plans "to make it official and divorce him."
Once again, this article is based on a false premise, considering that West traveled to Wyoming for work, not because of any marital drama. Regardless, a rep for Kardashian exclusively tells Gossip Cop she's not planning to divorce her husband, nor is she humiliated by him. In fact, Kardashian tweeted to West from the Met Gala on Monday night to tell him she missed him. "Love you babe wish you were here with meeeeee but you're only finishing up 5 albums," wrote the reality star. This one tweet proves two things: the reality star isn't relieved that her husband is of town, and he's only away because of work.
Additionally, Kardashian publicly voiced her support for West following the backlash he received over some of his Twitter comments last month. The reality star spoke out against those trying to "demonize" her husband, saying he's not "erratic," but instead "being himself which is very expressive." She went on to refer to West as "a free thinker" and dismissed the notion that he's suffering from any mental issues. Simply put, every aspect of the tabloid's story is provably untrue.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
