Kanye West is NOT performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, despite a purely speculative webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s not true.

As Gossip Cop reported, West visited Trump Tower on Tuesday morning for a meeting with the president-elect. The rapper later revealed on Twitter that he and Trump had discussed “multicultural issues,” including problems with the U.S. school system and violence in Chicago. But HollywoodLife is now wrongly theorizing that West stopped by Trump’s residence because he “could be offering to perform for the president-elect at his inauguration.”

Without a single source to back up its baseless claim, the site adds that it could be “a total reality that he’s singing at the inauguration” because “the Trump family are huge Kanye fans.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us the idea of West performing at Trump’s inauguration never came up during their meeting.

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by this tall tale. Interestingly enough, Gossip Cop just recently busted HollywoodLife for wrongly reporting West was performing at the Grammys following his hospitalization. The webloid seems to be making a habit of booking nonexistent gigs for the rapper, but he simply won’t be performing at Trump’s inauguration.
