Kaley Cuoco is NOT in a “sad spiral,” despite a mean-spirited report. Gossip Cop can bust the story.

The cruel and inaccurate allegations can be found in the pages of this week’s Star, which declares, “Still Reeling From Her Divorce, The ‘Big Bang’ Star’s Life And Career Are Going Bust!” The accompanying story says that “with a hit show and millions in the bank,” Cuoco “should be on top of the world.” But instead, it’s claimed she “has been careening toward rock-bottom since her divorce last year.”

That’s the first clue the tabloid doesn’t know what it’s talking about. Cuoco and estranged husband Ryan Sweeting may have split last year, but they are still very much married, as their divorce hasn’t been settled or legally finalized. But throughout the piece, Star repeatedly massages facts like that to fit with its angle.

For instance, it takes Cuoco’s recent comments on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” about covering up her wedding tattoo and uses them to back up its source, who calls the actress “embarrassed and depressed.” Next, the magazine asserts that Cuoco’s “foray into the dating world isn’t going much better.”

For that, Star points to Cuoco hanging out with Sam Hunt after the Grammys last month, and states, “But the fling was over as soon as the sun came up.” Even though the star herself has said she and the country singer are nothing more than pals, the outlet spins it as a “smitten” Cuoco being rejected and now supposedly feeling “like she’ll never find love again.”

Lastly, the tabloid turns its attention to Cuoco’s career, claiming she’s “irked that she isn’t the A-lister she hoped to become.” The alleged tipster claims, “She really thought the ‘Big Bang Theory’ would catapult her acting career and get her film roles, but it hasn’t.” But again, the gossip rag is misrepresenting things.

Cuoco is the highest-paid actress on television, which means her career is in TV “superstar” territory, far from any kind of slump. And with her commitment to the CBS sitcom, she couldn’t make movies all the time, even if she wanted. Still, Star claims Cuoco is “frustrated that her star power doesn’t match her ago,” and quotes a so-called “set insider” as saying, “Between work and her relationships, Kaley looks around and her life is very sad and lonely.”

But despite the pathetic picture Star tries to paint, there’s actually nothing more pathetic than a tabloid that twists the truth to make someone else look bad. Still, Gossip Cop looked into all the claims, and we’ve learned that all is well with Cuoco. In fact, one person we spoke with even said, “This is a total fabrication — not based in fact AT ALL.” Our contact further summed it all up as “ridiculous.” We agree.
