Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are not in marriage counseling, despite a false report. Gossip Cop can debunk the supposed drama. We've learned there's no truth to it.
An article in the latest issue of the National Enquirer, which was later posted by RadarOnline, says the actress flipped out after overhearing her husband jokingly referring to her as a "soccer mom." An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Justin recently joked to friends how motherhood has changed his wife, but not in a way she thinks is funny." According to the supposed source, the singer told his pals that when his wife isn't glammed-up on the red carpet, "She looks like a small-town housewife with too much to do."
The alleged insider further contends that Timberlake is bothered by his wife's "insecurity" and "wished she'd lighten up," but the actress has "had issues about not feeling 'hot' anymore since giving birth three years ago to their son, Silas." Following the fallout from Timberlake's alleged comment, "a friend of the couple suggested marriage therapy before things got worse," says the alleged insider. "They're going once a week."
Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a source close to the couple, who tells us on the condition of anonymity that they're not in therapy. The magazine's article is simply fabricated. In fact, Timberlake praises his wife in his new book Hindsight: And All the Things I Can't See in Front of Me, which was released in October.
In the book, Timberlake reflects on his marriage and recalls meeting Biel for the first time. "We've had a lot of unforgettable times," he writes. "She's become a huge influence on my life, and I have such an admiration for her, especially seeing her as a mother now." The musician adds, "She changed me. She changed my life."
Meanwhile, Biel promoted her husband's book on Instagram and urged her followers to buy it. Along with a link to purchased Hindsight, the actress wrote, "This book is a peek into a private lock box. Turn the first page and enter an intimate, exposed conversation from the deepest valleys and the bravest peaks of his tender heart."
Additionally, Biel opened up about her marriage to Timberlake on the "Today" show a few months ago, and noted, "Being devoted to the relationship is our biggest priority." The spouses aren't in couples counseling to fix their nonexistent marriage problems. The tabloid's claim otherwise is completely unfounded.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
