Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are not getting a"$300 million divorce," despite a new tabloid cover story. On the contrary, they remain in a loving, committed marriage. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this false report.
The untrue divorce claim is featured on the cover of OK!, while inside the issue, the tabloid blares in a headline, "Justin & Jessica Marriage Crumbles!" The gossip magazine contends, "As they fight over kids, careers and other women, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's five-year marriage is in jeopardy." The article begins by asserting Biel arrived to the Emmys earlier this month "appearing distraught," with Timberlake "noticeably missing." While the outlet acknowledges he was performing at Rock In Rio in Brazil, it's also alleged his "absence was calculated and symbolic."
"They've been in a bad place for months. The Emmys were a huge night for Jess and usually they're careful to put on a united front for the cameras. The fact that Justin refused to be by her side speaks volumes about the state of their relationship right now," a so-called "source" claims to the publication. But this is a sensational misrepresentation of the situation. Timberlake signed up for the annual music festival long before it was determined Biel would be a presenter at the awards show. She was well-aware that he would be unable to accompany her, and given that she wasn't a nominee, Timberlake's decision to fulfill his own professional obligation is hardly the scandal the tabloid is trying to make it out to be.
And instead of mentioning that, after that, Biel accompanied Timberlake to the Pilgrimage Festival and happily supported "my husband" at the "Concert For Charlottesville" just last weekend, and instead of noting that he gushed about "my wife" on Twitter just last week, the magazine goes on to allege the couple is having issues that go beyond their respective careers. "Jess often feels like a single mom [and] she's sick of it," maintains the outlet, which also asserts, "She simply doesn't trust him." The purported snitch details how they supposedly have "heated fights all the time about other women," before the publication ultimately concludes, "Now the couple are facing the real possibility of calling it quits, which could see Jessica walk away with half of Justin's $300 million fortune."
Of course, no one actually told the tabloid that the couple is divorcing, but the outlet still made the decision to make such a false announcement on its cover anyway. Meanwhile, Gossip Cop is told by one of our own impeccable insiders that Timberlake and Biel's relationship is still going strong. "They support and love each other," says our contact. Of course, OK! has already proven that it knows next to nothing when it comes to the couple. More than a year ago we busted the magazine for wrongly claiming Biel and Timberlake were expecting twins. There were no babies and now there's no divorce, either.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
