Justin Theroux is not threatening to write a “scathing tell-all” about Jennifer Aniston, despite a report. Gossip Cop can bust this story. It’s completely untrue.
RadarOnline is blaring in a headline on Tuesday, “Jen’s Nightmare! Justin Could Spill Star’s Dark Secrets In Scathing Tell-All.” According to the accompanying article, Aniston is “beside herself” over the possibility Theroux might write a book about her. The website alleges the actor is “warning” the actress to “fight fair,” or else “he’ll have no hesitation whipping out the ‘tell-all’ card that would spell utter humiliation.”
“He figures he needs options if Jen fights dirty,” a so-called “source” is quoted as saying. The site’s supposed snitch alleges Theroux would “have so much to say about his own frustrations” from their “failed marriage” if he did decide to “spill.” It’s specifically claimed Aniston is a “nightmare to live with,” with Theroux’s “friends” believing it’s a “charade that he’s being painted as a bad guy given what she did to him.” What did the “Friends” star do to him? Why is she a “nightmare” to live with?
Tellingly, the blog never says. And despite the allusion to “dark secrets” that would lead to “utter humiliation,” there’s no indication as to what that allegedly damaging information might be about. What’s also notable is the outlet goes on to regurgitate Aniston and Theroux’s full split statement, in which they noted, “The gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent.” The stars also stressed, “Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative.”
Furthermore, they insisted, “Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.” On top of that, Theroux and Aniston said they “look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.” Now consider the RadarOnline story again. The estranged couple wants to continue sharing “respect and love” while maintaining their “cherished friendship,” but Theroux is threatening to write a tell-all book? Such a claim doesn’t make much sense and isn’t true.
Rather, these contentions seem to be the kind of “fictional narrative” that they predicted would be manufactured since the gossip media tends to “invent.” As they indicated in their statement, Aniston and Theroux hope to continue to be friends, which means neither intends to “fight dirty.” On the contrary, it seems like it’s the online publication that is fighting dirty by concocting a sensational storyline to give the false appearance of drama.
The site has peddled a number of bogus tales related to the breakup, including a phony story about Aniston embarking on a relationship with Gerard Butler. Gossip Cop will continue to tell all on the blog’s apparent lies as necessary.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
